scarletmirage I can't wait to see where this goes in subsequent chapters. Both songs are a gorgeously crafted mix of alternative rock, progressive rock, even math rock at times. It feels very unique so hard to compare it to anything else convincingly. And that's a very difficult thing to say these days. Artwork is dope too. Impressed! Favorite track: Subsolar.

zen I thoroughly enjoyed both songs. The writing has progressive undertones, yet the songs remain accessible and down to earth, almost Radiohead-like in places. I love how Subsolar transitions seamlessly into Sublunar, even though they are quite different songs. These guys are bringing something really unique and honest to the genre.

The idea of 'chapters' suggests that it will eventually be a concept album, which I'm a big fan of, and will be waiting for patiently! Favorite track: Sublunar.

And I know These last years in my mind I've grown Sea-green glances over pale amber chances But that was years ago. Cracked jokes and smiles that night Spilled drinks under fluorescent light But that was years ago But that was years ago And I've grown... I was carving out a road again (I'll escape) To places deeper than I've ever been (I'll escape) But I'm not there yet (I'll escape) No I'm not there yet (I'll escape) If only you could see your eyes You'd know that I was never gonna make it out, Not then, that night, Not by the time that skies did slide under the hunter's knife And so we played along Like two fools with nothing left to lose See, back then belief was cheap But summer days, they fade into memory. And I know Those first weeks we'd wished that time had slowed Cool-grey glances as we shared an understanding That we'd be letting go Letting go. But from this day on there's no tomorrow Our gazes trace the waning light With a sea of limbs we grip the moments And swear that they will never die And yet, the silent promises we made ring out.

Sublunar 04:38
There's kind of like this creeping wave And it's rising to Wrestle with the type like me Who never took up geography Mouth shaped words, no sounds One of those conversations Sandbags out, can't afford to take another round So I've steeled this cavity From a life stuck on repeat Now you'll fly a memory Flame lit spaces Wine stained lips on empty faces Just like mine, just like mine Another coward in the firing line And I can't answer questions About a future I won't write alone Will we make it, darling? I don't know. Cos I've steeled this cavity From a life stuck on repeat Now you'll fly... Promises will tend to weigh us down Dont come back for me, I'm not this town. All these words, but I'm not talking. Stain my lips again, we'll stare down mountains. All these words. We'll stare them down. Parachutes won't work from here, But we don't care If the earth breaks us.
